Walking is about discovering which is why we choose routes which introduce visitors to very special places in Scotland, routes with continuously changing views across spectacular landscapes, peaks and glens - romantic paths off the beaten track which take us to long forgotten places of ancient ruined settlements and old trails used by cattle drovers in days gone by.
Scottish wildlife, history & nature
On the way, you can find out as much as you would like about Scotland's wildlife, history and nature, about wild goats with spectacular horns, stories of local clans and their warfare or the story behind the coppiced oak forests along the shores of Loch Lomond and the people who lived in these forests not so long ago.
Generally, a day includes from 2-5 hours walking, a relaxing lunch and a delicious picnic and, because water is so much part of the scenery, a boat ride along the way and sometimes even a little island exploration (on Loch Lomond).
About Us
WalkWildLochLomond have been inspired by the creation of the new Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in their mission to impress on the visitor the immense beauty and preciousness of it's landscape and convey an understanding of its natural and cultural heritage. Your Walking Team
The company is owned by Antje Peters who has been running walking holidays in Scotland for many years. She is an experienced, enthusiastic hill-walker and enjoys sharing her love of Scotland's spectacular landscapes with its visitors. She is supported by an enthusiastic team of equally outdoor inspired professionals - Kirsty Singer, Paul Mosely and Bjoern Singer.
