The western Highlands of Glen Shiel and Kintail and the famous Isle of Skye is where you find the Scotland of your dreams: craggy mountains and the wild sea, green islands, wide skies and white beaches in spectacular harmony with each other fill this inspiring and sparsely populated landscape.

Our walks take you up and over rocky heights, past impressive waterfalls and through wide glens, visiting places such as the lonely peninsula of Glenelg with its mysterious 2000 year old towers called 'brochs', stunning west coast settings in Applecross, the giant rock formations of Torridon, the delightful coastal village Plockton, great for spotting seals, white beaches on the Isle of Skye, blue mountain lagoons surrounded by the peaks of the famous Cuillins and romantic castles in spectacular scenery which seem strangely civilized in this expanse of natural wilderness.

We have selected and reserved excellent Bed & Breakfast accommodation for you which is priced between £25 - £55 per persons based on 2 sharing and depending on your preference. During your holiday you will stay in two different locations: the scattered settlement of Shiel Bridge at the foot of the Kintail mountains and the village of Carbost in the heart of the Isle of Skye. There is a good selection of accommodation in both places ranging from quality Highland hotels to Bed & Breakfast guest houses and hostels and a good pub with excellent food nearby. Let us know your preference and we'll be happy to make all reservations for you.

Sightseeing is a wonderful bonus of your holiday travelling from and back to Glasgow through some of Scotland's most beautiful landscapes: Loch Lomond, the queen of Scottish lakes, dramatic Glen Coe, Britiain's giant Ben Nevis, the famous 'Road to the Isles', probably the most spectacular coastal route in Scotland, and you experience a traditional ferry crossing from the Isle of Skye.

Culture We have not forgotten to include essentials such as a visit to a traditional whisky distillery, an evening or two in a lively west coast pub with some Scottish music to entertain, and delicious seafood to make your holiday complete.

Your walking group has the personable size of no more than 8 persons and is accompanied throughout by an experienced and knowledgeable guide.

Level of fitness

This holiday is designed for people with a good basic level of fitness and mobility and who exercise regularly. You don't need to be an experienced walker but be prepared to walk over rough ground which may be wet underfoot.
